I'm wondering what I have to do to change a country's name. I wanna change the Free Syrian Army to something that sounds a little better after they take over Syria. I was thinking either the Syrian Republic, the Free Syrian Republic or just Free Syria. I also wanna change Taiwan's name to Republic of China. I found a topic on another forum about how to do it but it made no sense to me. Which file do I have to edit in the Modern World mod?

Easiest way would to be just open the mwtext.csv and create an entry to match the Free syrian army since I haven't made one yet. File can be found in Supreme Ruler Cold War\Localize\LOCALEN\Scenario. Of course that only works if you are running it in english. If you are running it in a diff language you can always Create a copy of the file in the localization folder of whatever language you are using and go to town on translating it.

Okay well uh...what/how do I create this entry? I know absolutely nothing about modding lol ;D

What am I looking at? I see country names and numbers next to them. Am I supposed to find the in game number of the FSA and then add it to this file along with the new name or what?

Pretty much ya, put an entry in for FSAs region ID number which I beleive is 667(check the .CVP to make sure I'm going by memory here) the next entry is going to be whatever you want their Name to be, then the last is the little situational intelligence you get at the start when you use that nation. Anyone can change this file to change the nations names and it doesn't require a cache. So for those who want Korea to be back to North and South, or want the name of Taiwan to be the offical name etc etc they can just edit this file quick and easy and get back to playing. I'll try to add entries for the rebel factions here in 0.83 even though I was putting this of as Polish.
