UtilityThrone9: I saw your post on the BG forums but could you tell me how to do that? sorry but I am new to modding
UtilityThrone9: I saw your post on the BG forums but could you tell me how to do that? sorry but I am new to modding
UtilityThrone9 is now Online.
Fistalis: well if it works fine on your System then chances are you just didnt include the redone scenario file in the download. If you look in the scenario file you should see where it points to the files for the scenario. YOu need to point these at your files instead of the default ones. You can always open up one of my old mods scenario files to look at it and see what i mean in more detail.
UtilityThrone9: ok
UtilityThrone9: thank you
UtilityThrone9: ill go ahead and try it
UtilityThrone9: well in my scenario file I have two text files and you only have one... what do I do with that?
Fistalis: those arent very important.. in the download your .CVP .region include etc etc are all the default ones
Fistalis: in the scenario file.. not the file themselves
UtilityThrone9: ohhh ok
UtilityThrone9: I was looking at the wrong thing
Fistalis: easy to do. you can put lines in between to make it easier to find certain pasages too. BG has a program that writes it for them they dont hand edit it like us so its all clustered hard to read anything
Fistalis: see how mine has one line of code per line theres all ldkjfldkjsdfkj sldjkfldsk up lol
UtilityThrone9: I dont see that...
Fistalis: they may have updated it since i looked at theres. It was all smushed together where as mine has one line = one setting
Fistalis: them = Line 1 line 2 line 3 line 4
Fistalis: me
Fistalis: line 1
Fistalis: line 2
Fistalis: line 3
UtilityThrone9: im looking in the .region and the .CVP and dont see either
UtilityThrone9: I dont see in either of the things I mean
Fistalis: in your scenario file
Fistalis: look for wher eit points to the .cvp
Fistalis: and the .regioninclude
Fistalis: etc
UtilityThrone9: but where do I look in the files? I only see numbers in the .region and only see region info in the .CVP im such a bad modder
Fistalis: the scenario file
Fistalis: lol
Fistalis: .scenario
UtilityThrone9: ohhhhhhh
Fistalis: "MAPS\"
#include "SR1936.REGIONINCL"
UtilityThrone9: OHHHH
UtilityThrone9: I feel dumb lol
Fistalis: thats the default file
Fistalis: gotta change it to point to your files
UtilityThrone9: it is so I need to change it to whatever it is now
Fistalis: one sec let me look at your file structure and ill show you how it should look
UtilityThrone9: I think I get what your saying
UtilityThrone9: gotta do the same with the Ottoman Empire mod too
Fistalis: #include "SR1936.csv" should look like
Fistalis: #include "yourfile name here"
UtilityThrone9: ok
UtilityThrone9: so it would be Independent Colonies.REGIONINCL
Fistalis: yes but you also have to put in file structure from the root folder
UtilityThrone9: how?
Fistalis: #include "SR1936.CVP", "MAPS\"
Fistalis: says its in the MAPS folder
UtilityThrone9: yes
Fistalis: gotta make sure you point it to wherever you put your files like
Fistalis: #include "SR1936.CVP", "Custom\your mod name"
Fistalis: for example if you looked at mine
UtilityThrone9: it says Custom/MW?
Fistalis: its in the MW folder inside the Custom folder is where you find that file
Fistalis: in my mods
UtilityThrone9: ok
Fistalis: Cause I put almost all my files in teh Custom folder
Fistalis: and each mod gets its own folder there
UtilityThrone9: ok
Fistalis: you can put it anywhere you want though, just gotta make sure scenario file points to it so the program can find it
UtilityThrone9: ok
UtilityThrone9: after that the mod should work?
Fistalis: cache it and yes
Fistalis: i havent examined your larger files for the actual changes
Fistalis: so no promises that all your changes were done right lol
UtilityThrone9: ok
UtilityThrone9: worth a try though
UtilityThrone9: thank you!
Fistalis: no problem
Fistalis: Hey mind if I post the Convo ot my forums so I dont have to go through this with anyone else? lol
UtilityThrone9: sure probably a good idea lol
