Why exactly are the F-22 stats so low? I'm not sure what you mean. The F-22s primary strength is its stealth mixed with long range weaponry. It's ability to detect and fire on jets before itself is detected. It contains this capabilty in game with both high profile stat + longer range Air to Air capabilities than most if not all other jets of the era. If you're sending it into close range dog fight combat you aren't using it properly. You want to keep it a few hexes away from enemy jets where It can fire on them but they can't detect or fire on it.

Exactly how I use it in game. I was at first sending them straight into the mix for dog fighting. Soon found out that by just having the raptors stand back a few spaces they can unload on the enemy and the enemy has no idea where they are being hit from. But I have to ask, does the 35 also have this ability to stand back? If not then its stats a far to low for air combat.

I remember once I send F-22 to help out an ally South Korea and before I send my F-22 South Korean air-force was getting hammered but once I send in my Raptors tide of the war changed and than I send in my F-35 and decimated their ground forces with the help of South Koreans.
