So I've begun the task of Converting the modern world. However I've ran into a major issue in that I at this point cannot get my events files properly converted. Without those the mod really can't exist since the rebel factions etc all depend on those being properly implemented. I'll continue poking at it a few hours each day and try to really dive into it my next day off (tuesday)
I've been getting some help from Balt over at BG..however with him being the main PR guy + working on the game he's pretty swamped with other responsibilities. So when his work load clears up a bit the progress should go a bit smoother.
(p.s. For those who are curious the modern world contains something like 3000 events.. 2000 of which happen before the game even starts to properly set up factions.. so totally redoing those from scratch are out of the question in my mind)

Okay events are sorted out... now.. I have to redo everything else by hand because most of BGs new units are using unit numbers I had used, my mesh #s are now being used by BG etc etc etc...

Okay bad news time... so the new system means my staging process no longer works. What this means is i have to completely rebuild the mod without the use of a staging process.. how long thats going to take I'm not sure.
Pretty much this is no longer a conversion.. but a complete rebuild.
The GOOD news is.. this will remove unneeded events and other gunk that the 2 years of development has built up in the CW version of the mod.
