I am currently playing a game as FARC. I am trying to play it somewhat realistically and my goal is to build up and modernize so that I can take on the United States. So far I've annexed Venezuela, Ecuador, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Grenada and Cuba and I've liberated Haiti to install a sympathetic communist government there. In the rest of the world I saw Israel get attacked by Egypt. They defeated Egypt but then got attacked by Iran. Iran conquered Israel so Israel moved their capital to Cairo and then counter attacked and reconquered Israel. After that they attacked and conquered Syria. I also saw Belarus own the Baltic states and Poland before getting attacked by France and Spain. Then Russia attacked France and pushed them all the way out of Poland and Belarus. Al Shabaab and Ethiopia have also been at war for about 4 years now with almost no changes. What happens is Al Shabaab gets to the capital, fails to take it, and then Ethiopia pushes them back. I've been selling weapons and resources to both sides lol. To make things as realistic as possible once I attack Panama I am also going to declare war on the United States. I need ideas for what kind of tech/weapons I should have if I want to stand a chance. I just got level 4 military production and I've been focusing on buying advanced tank designs. I also bought some fighter jet designs from China and am researching the Mig 29 design. I bought some cruiser and destroyer designs from China and Russia and I'm currently researching the Summit Battleship class. I also researched and built a Sea Catcher class aircraft carrier. I don't have any submarines yet so I am working on researching those. I figure I should have some submarines capable of striking the U.S. with missiles before I attack. I also need missile designs. I'm wondering if researching nuclear missiles is worth my time or if I should just go with conventional submarine missiles. Also, I have some tactical bombers but no strategic bombers. Is it worth my time to research a strategic bomber? Oh and what about stealth technology?

Use Swedish JAS-39 as your primary fighter aircraft! It is the best buy aircraft in the game, high att stats and high stealth, low cost. Any other will not stand a chance against all the US advanced fighters. For ground units try Finnish XA-360 infantry and Israeli Merkava 4 tanks. Use long range artillery systems like Russian Smerch to support your troops. Pack a lot of AA units like Russian SA-20 Triumph or French Aster 30, you will need them! As for the naval engagement, I would suggest air-surface missiles as a better option than building the fleet from scratch since US fleet is huuuuge and packs a lot of surface-surface missiles...
Also, acquire all the tech that improve your units stats like: advanced artillery radar, V-LAP artillery, ERFB artillery, GMLRS rockets and the other one that extends range for rocket artillery, Military body armor, depleted uranium munitions...

Unfortunately Merkava 4 tanks aren't an option because Israel hates me. They refuse to do business with me no matter how much I offer. I currently have the T-95, MVT SR 13, T-10M Heavy Tank and am researching the TL 3 Regal. Which one of these tanks is the best? Also, what about bombers?

will u would not last in the sea no matter how hard u try the only to beat us navy is by air strikes i spent 2 years upgrading my navy only to have them crushed by us navy so don't waste time on navy focus on air craft and ground units the t.95 with BTR II AND SMERCH are a deadly combination and i advice using nuclear missiles u are going to run into some heavy resistance and if u dont have good multi air craft u gonna end up with heavy losses
one last tip u gotta invade mexico ' don t invade by sea unless u have built a strong nearby base for airports and military stuff
good luck

WEEEEEEEEEELLP, I was in the process of building up and I decided to modernize my air force. In the year 2017 I decided to buy a strategic bomber design and a Mig 31 design from the Russians and literally right after the deal went through the United States launched a preemptive strike on me and declared war. I was of course shocked that the AI was actually being smart for once, trying to crush me before I built bombers capable of striking the U.S. I took this opportunity to attack Panama and discovered...40 units of light infantry in their capital!?!?! whaaaaaaaaaaa? ?? Meanwhile the U.S. had begun a naval invasion of Cuba from Guantanamo and I unfortunately had only a small skeleton crew of units defending it. I had to mobilize the vast majority of my army to crush Panama so I increased the garrisons of everywhere on Cuba to maximum and prayed that they could hold out until I defeated Panama. My navy got sent to the bottom of the sea within the first few days of the war just like you guys said it would be. My air force has not yet been modernized so it mainly consists of Mig 21s, and J-7 Shenyangs with a few Mig 25s that I bought from the Russians. Despite the disadvantage they went up against the American F-18s and F-15s bravely. Thankfully during the initial stages of the war I was able to scramble fighters from Haiti to blunt the American air strikes. Although my air force took heavy losses they were able to fight off the U.S. Air Force enough to prevent further large scale air strikes. American missiles have been pounding my territory ceaselessly and so I unleashed all of my extremely outdated missiles in response. My missiles seem to be basically useless against U.S. forces unfortunately. Anyway, at present Cuba has almost fallen to American forces but now that Panama has been defeated I am sending my main army force up to Cuba to retake it from the Americans. Once the situation in Cuba has been stabilized I intend to attack Puerto Rico, The US Virgin Islands and the Cayman Islands to deprive the U.S. of air bases in the Caribbean. I also intend to drop an iron curtain over the Caribbean and develop a Caribbean wide missile defense system that will also act as a death trap for the U.S. navy. I realize now that U.S. has been trying to box me in with blue sphere friendly regimes all around me and I've got to secure a sphere of influence in the Americas if I am to succeed.

Wow that's interesting. However do you really think it's smart to take Caribbean from the US? They won't be losing any economy in this. Why not go north, conquer Mexico and then attack the US?

I'm not nearly strong enough to attack the mainland United States yet. They launched a preemptive strike on me way before I was ready. Honestly I don't think I am even strong enough to conquer Mexico at this point because all my units are already committed elsewhere. Right now I just want to defend my territory long enough to finish modernizing and building up my military.

good luck mate the US toke around 7 months to beat them for me i had i build a straight supply line fro Colombia to the mexico America border and dug my way from their to the capital i was playing as iran so i had Cuba and Valenzuela as allies and forced the US to fight me at the border instead of the Caribbean i lost 30% of my ground units plus 60 % of my navy and no losses in the air cause i had the su 31 its an amazing air craft it helped me a lot against their navy
